Mosaic Launches Potash Mining Readiness Program to Empower Indigenous Talent

Mosaic is proud to announce the official launch of its Potash Mining Readiness Program, designed to prepare Indigenous learners for exciting and rewarding entry-level careers in one of Saskatchewan’s most critical industries.

Developed in partnership with Morris Interactive, the six-week program begins February 9, 2026, and will be hosted at Mosaic’s world-class Esterhazy complex and in-town facilities.

This program reflects Mosaic’s commitment to reconciliation, workforce diversity, and community empowerment. By combining technical training with cultural support, it equips Indigenous participants with the skills, confidence, and sense of belonging needed to thrive in the mining sector.

Program Details

  • Start Date: February 9, 2026
  • Duration: Six weeks, Monday to Friday (6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
  • Location: Mosaic’s Esterhazy Potash Complex (K1, K2, K3) and in-town facilities
  • Cohort Size: 6–12 participants per session

Participants will gain essential skills in safety, teamwork, physical readiness, along with resume building and interview preparation. The program also emphasizes cultural safety and belonging, reflecting Mosaic’s dedication to creating a workplace where Indigenous employees feel valued and supported. The Potash Mining Readiness Program builds off the Digital Transformation in Potash Mining program offered by Morris Interactive previously.

Interested in Joining? Here are the requirements:

  • Indigenous identity
  • 18 years or older
  • Able to pass a drug & alcohol test
  • Willing to commit to the full 6-week program
  • Comfortable with physical work and safety procedures
  • Experience or exposure in construction, agriculture, or industrial settings is helpful

Physical Requirements

  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing stairs, and working in various conditions
  • Able to wear safety gear, including a respirator
  • Good hearing and vision (with or without correction)
